You can add stereotypical characteristics to your characters.

I know stereotypes are for ignorant people ( they are! eg. white people CAN dance so stop saying they can’t everyone!) but, they could have head ties
because the majority of arabs are of the religion that does that.
make some of your characters have ‘normal’ hair colour (for their race)
once you have at least one character who has ‘normal’ hair colour give the rest colours according to their personalities
Here’s what I read in a ‘how to draw’ book:

*red- wild personality

*yellow- this character gives trouble or is michevious

*white - this colour has to do with demons/spirits and is associated with mourning (they wear it at funerals)

*black or other dark colour- traditional/normal character

The other colours I forgot but if you put it in a wild style it can probably have the same effect as red.

Beauty marks, narrower eyes, bigger lips, etc. can also help define your character. Experiment a little. Goodluck!

Try working on different eye styles. Even in anime, eye shape gives a lot of information about the character (younger, more naive characters have big round eyes, while evil characters, or more mature characters, have eyes that are more rectangular). You can also work on getting more variety in the shape of the face, as well. Chinese people have slightly broader, rounder faces than Japanese people. Black people have very distinctive noses.

Try working on:
- body size
- ****** features
- even deform the body a little.

For example:
- one could have very little neck
- another could be short and chubby
- one could wear glasses
- hairstyle definately makes most of the difference
- skinny leg with large upper torso
- slouch
- one lazy eye
- scars
- temper
- one that always smiles

there are many variations.

Hairstyle and clothing are two ways to make things more diverse. Different accessories for each charactor is another way to differentiate between charactors…Size is another way…adding more muscularity to some charactors or height to others

Leaving race out of the equation…the above ideas should help you out…
